GovCon Finalist Badge 2016

(Herndon, VA) Spear is honored to be named as a “Finalist” for the 2016 Greater Washington GovCon Awards. The GovCon Awards are the premier industry distinctions commending the leadership, innovation and commitment to excellence of the people and businesses in the region’s government contracting community.

In the most highly contested and nominated category, Spear was named Finalist among four other companies for the category of “Contractor of the Year” up to $25 million.

Contractor of the Year is presented to a Greater Washington-area government contractor for distinguished financial and operational accomplishments and for outstanding contributions to its employees, the community, the government contracting industry and the U.S. Government in the past year.

“The companies and executives recognized as finalists demonstrate excellence and distinction. This is a highly competitive process and those that emerge as finalists have a great deal of which to be proud,” said Jim Corcoran, Fairfax Chamber president and CEO.

The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and Professional Services Council (PSC) will present the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards on Nov. 1 at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner. Award winners will be announced at the evening gala, which has been dubbed the “Academy Awards of Government Contracting.” This unique networking event draws nearly 1,000 industry and government leaders.
